Hi,
I would like to know if there is a limit on number of documents that can be
updated in a transaction without an actual performance hit.
If possible can you tell me system requirements required for performing the
large transactions (size 10^4 - 10^5 documents) smoothly.

You can test your server, foxx and arangodb using JMeter to simulate many
situations
