I wonder how difficult will be to have some kind of Middleware area that live and runs directly from the ArangoDB Service, almost something like PL/SQL procedures that allow read Data and proceess it directly then present result to the API.
Example, have a script posting if a server reply ping or have a tcp/ip port open from specific IP. The result is pushed to ArangoDB.
Then if a status report is required can generate a PDF or CSV of the store data directly from the API/Method name or something.
Perhaps integration with other tools like https://oss.oetiker.ch/rrdtool/ to push data and generate the png/jpg representation of the data will be a nice touch without have to involve a third party script/program to do it.
